Three moves.
One clear point.
Press ⌥⇥ to pick up the pen.
Drawing mode starts over any app with the same shortcut. You can also start it from the menu bar.
Talk while you mark.
Switch tools with single keys like B, A, and R, and pick colors with the number keys. Your hands stay on the keyboard.
Press ⌥⇥ again to get back.
By default your marks clear as you exit and you’re back to work. Closed it too soon? ⌘Z brings them back.

Lower Third ⌘L
Show a title and subtitle along the bottom of the screen. Perfect for your name and role.
Countdown Timer
Type 15:00 or 1:00:00 as text and it counts down right on screen.
Click Effect · Cursor Highlight
Rings mark every click and your cursor stands out, so viewers never lose your pointer.
Snapshots · FlashShot ⌘S
Save drawings, bring them back with a double-click, and export PNG, PDF, or PSD. FlashShot (fn S) copies your screen and drawings as one image.

on the keyboard.
In drawing mode, single keys switch tools and colors with no modifiers. Every shortcut, including 30 single-key actions, can be reassigned in Settings and exported as a preset.

Which Macs can run DrawZal?
DrawZal runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It’s a universal app for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
When can I get DrawZal?
DrawZal is getting ready for launch. Sign up for a launch notification and we’ll email you when the public download opens.
Which languages does the app support?
English and Korean. DrawZal follows your Mac’s language, and you can change it for this app under Language & Region in System Settings.
Do I need to grant screen recording permission?
Not for pens, arrows, shapes, or text. DrawZal asks for screen recording permission only the first time you use a feature that captures the screen, such as the magnifier, Freeze Screen, FlashShot, or spotlight area capture.
Does DrawZal send my screen anywhere?
No. DrawZal never sends your screen, drawings, or snapshots anywhere. Everything happens on your Mac, and no account is needed.
Can I change the shortcuts?
Yes. Global shortcuts like ⌥⇥ and single-key actions like B, A, and R can all be reassigned in Settings, and you can export and import your settings and shortcuts as preset files.
Does it work with a pen tablet?
Yes. Stroke width follows pen pressure, and you can erase with the eraser end of your pen.
Is there a Windows version?
Not at the moment. DrawZal is macOS only.
